About Us

Our Story

Dr. Seymour and Dr. Hall first met during their rotating internship at Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington, DC. They quickly bonded over their shared love of veterinary medicine and goofy sense of humor, as well as their dream to start a business together (though at that time it was a Dairy Queen).

Over the years, they have lived in many places along the East Coast; but they have truly found their home here in the Lake Norman area. Lake Tails Animal Hospital is a way for them to share their dream and combined 30+ years of veterinary experience with the Denver community. Their mission is simple: to create a warm, welcoming space where pets receive exceptional medical care and families feel supported every step of the way.

With a deep bond and a commitment to treating every patient like their own, they’ve blended their strengths to offer personalized, high-quality veterinary services in a place that truly feels like home.

Our Hospital

Lake Tails Animal Hospital was founded in honor of two very special dogs—Lola and Tahlia—our original “heart dogs.” They were by our sides through the long nights of veterinary school, the ups and downs of internships, and the many milestones of our careers. More than faithful companions, they were family, teachers, and daily reminders of why we chose this profession.

Though Lola and Tahlia passed away a few years ago, their influence is felt in everything we do. The “L” in Lake represents Lola, Dr. Hall’s beloved companion, while the “T” represents Tahlia, Dr.Seymour’s loyal partner. Their names are woven into our hospital as a way of honoring not only the bond we shared with them, but also the lessons they taught us about unconditional love, resilience, and the deep connections people share with their pets.

At Lake Tails, we carry their memory forward in the way we practice medicine, with compassion, patience, and a focus on strengthening the bond between pets and their families. Every patient we care for is a tribute to the love we had for Lola and Tahlia, and a reminder of the unique role our pets play in shaping our lives.
